Tony is the Eastern Area Director for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. He has assisted in and supervised numerous disasters including the Flooding of 1996 and Hurricane Floyd as well as numerous local and regional disaster situations. In June 2001, he was appointed as the Deputy Commonwealth Coordinating Officer for the Berks, Bucks, and Montgomery county disaster.
Tony is a graduate of Columbia Montour AVTS in Electronics Technology. Some of Tony’s experiences have included involvement in amateur radio as county and local 9-1-1 dispatcher /supervisor, as county EMA Communications Officer and Operations and Training officer, and county deputy director. He has also served as an Emergency Medical Technician and firefighter as well as PEMA Eastern Area's Trainer and Exercise Officer.
Tony has had an article published in APCO Communicator, a magazine for public-safety communications professionals, and he received a citation in 1989 by the Columbia County Commissioners for his actions as an emergency dispatcher for Columbia County. Tony was the first person to receive a prestigious service award, in 1982, presented by the Defender Fire Company in Berwick.
