Are you aware that most counties already meet most, if not all, of the requirements to be designated as STORM READY. The citizens of your county will know you care and will be aware of the efforts you as the Emergency Management Coordinator are devoting to ensuring the safety of the people of your county. Your county commissioners will also appreciate knowing that their county has been designated Storm Ready. Your county website can proudly display the Storm Ready Banner.
 
 
 
Please check out the website for the criteria and the Application Form. It costs nothing to apply. Once your application is submitted it will go before the Central PA Advisory Board consisting of: David Ondrejik (david.ondrejik@noaa.gov) of the National Weather Service;  Fred Boylstein - PEMA Central Area Director; and Merri Montgomery - Sullivan County EMA.
