​Information for PEMA Instructors

If you are interested in becoming an instructor to present Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) G-Series courses (PDF) within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, you must be accredited by PEMA.

Those who are currently recognized as PEMA instructors need not reapply to present G-Series courses.

Request to Become a PEMA Instructor

While the transition of Instructor Applications continues its move to the State Fire Academy, we will resume application processing in the interim. Those interested should fill out the PEMA Instructor Application and the Instructor Code of Conduct and submit their applications with all supporting documentation to us at ra-emtraining@pa.gov or to the address on the application cover page. Incomplete applications, including not including all required documentation, will be rejected.  Mentoring will be required for those without the appropriate train-the-trainer certificates.
