Private Sector Integration Program
Pennsylvania is committed to supporting resilient communities and our businesses are a critical part of that. Disaster recovery happens more quickly when the businesses that sustain our communities are functional and the economy is restored.
The Private Sector Integration Program fosters important relationships to increase information sharing between the private and public sectors before, during, and after disasters and engages businesses through:
- Private-sector driven planning and discussion sessions.
- The Pennsylvania Business Emergency Operations Center (PABEOC), located online and at the Commonwealth Response Coordination Center at PEMA.
More information about these two pieces is below.
PA Endeavor – Private Sector Working Group
PA Endeavor is led by the private sector with government partners at the table. The working group encourages business-to-business and business-to-emergency management discussions and problem solving. These conversations help identify emergency/continuity-related challenges and work to find solutions.
By joining the PABEOC, you will receive helpful email notifications during events, and the PABEOC dashboard is always accessible to members of the group.
When there are no events occurring, PEMA provides program information and links to the PEMA daily operations, power status, and National Weather Service briefs (when available).
When an event is occurring, the Private Sector Liaison posts information and answers questions and forwards questions/issues to the correct area to be addressed.
Information posted on the dashboard is also emailed directly to those on the members list. Most commonly used information on the dashboard includes:
- Travel restriction changes/maps
- State declarations
- Federal/state hours-of-service waivers
- Weather information
- The chat function
- Reported power outages
